Retirement Planning Orientation sessions have been scheduled by Human Resources for staff considering retirement at the end of the 2008-09 school year or prior to September, 2009. Sessions will be held at the District office.

Administrators: Monday, December 15, 2008 Room E111 -- 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.

The purpose of the meetings is to provide information about the retirement process. We encourage attendance if you have questions regarding continuation of health/dental and other insurance benefits, the non-elective 403(b) procedures, pay for leave, how to apply for Nebraska school retirement, etc.

Please let me know if you plan to attend and which session in order that we have enough information packets.

State Retirement Workshops: In addition, Nebraska School Retirement workshops have been scheduled in Lincoln for March 4, April 1, April 30, May 14, June 10, June 24 and June 25. Check the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement System website for details, npers.ne.gov. If you are 50 or older, you should automatically receive a State Retirement registration form. These will be mailed to your home. Advance registration is required for the State Retirement seminar. For your information, the latest School Employees Retirement System booklet is available on the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement System website.

It is recommended that you attend both my session and (if 50 or older) a Nebraska School Retirement seminar.
