Key points to remember are:

•  It is spread by direct contact or contact with a surface that has been infected.
•  It also can be spread  in the air through a sneeze or cough.
•  Remember: DO NOT share drinks
•  Cough or sneeze into your sleeve or clothing. Do not cough into your hands.
•  Incubation of the virus is 2 to 4 days and usually lasts 3 to 4 days.
• Typical symptoms are fever of 100 degrees or more with a sore throat and/or cough.
• The virus dies within 6 to 8 hours, so it should die in the classrooms and school over night.
•  Hand washing and hand sanitizers work the best for defense.
•  Wash hands for 20+ seconds. If unable to wash hands, use hand sanitizer. Rub hands until it dries.
•  90% of the time the H1N1 virus enters body through the touching of face or eyes.
